Chiral ferrocene-based P,P ligands are important ligands in the preparation of asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation catalysts. Compared with most diphosphine ligands which are easily oxidized, this type of diphosphine ligand is relatively stable and plays an important role in the synthesis of many pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals, such as (S)-isopropyl methoxycarbamate, methyl jasmonate, vitamin H, alogliptin, and dextrorphan.
