Application	Tetraammineplatinum nitrate, also known as platinum tetraammine nitrate or tetraammine platinum nitrate, is a white crystal. It's part of the platinum tetraamine family and dissolves very easily in water but not in ethanol or acetone. Under acidic conditions, it's unstable and the already bound ammonia can come off, forming ammonium chloride, and it reacts with tetrachloroplatinate groups to produce Magnus green salt. In industry, it’s sometimes used as a precursor for platinum catalysts.
